What do students do?

Use the grammar toolkit and the six picture questions, checking time clues as well as images. Rehearse passive reports, then secretly change a detail for a partner to correct. Finish with the quick check and set the written update as homework.

Language focus

Present simple, past simple, present continuous and present perfect passive, plus will and going to. The questions and time expressions establish the intended form; a picture alone cannot establish tense.

Class setup, online and one-to-one

Partners alternate reports and corrections. Start with routine, action-now and past-event scenes for support, then add result and future forms. In one-to-one teaching, take the other news-desk role.
