How the lesson works
Start with a short conversation and useful polite requests. In pairs, negotiate the original workshop booking, then exchange short Teams-style messages to amend it. Switch customer and service roles for the studio booking, followed by a cancellation phone call. Check dates, facilities, prices and conditions after each conversation.
Share and print
Everyone uses page 1. A gets pages 2 and 4; B gets pages 3 and 5. Keep page 6 for the teacher. Cover each follow-up until the original booking is agreed. Four learners work in two pairs; six work in three pairs. For online teaching, send each learner only their own information. Use a chat app or pass written messages for the Teams task; no Microsoft account is required.
Language and teaching focus
Polite requests, clarification, budgets, conditional offers with provided and as long as, compensation and written confirmation. The teacher key checks all four agreements, including payment transfers, discounts and the cancellation credit. Finish with discussion about flexibility, compensation and which conditions to get in writing. No recording is needed.
